REFERENCES URBAN GEOPHYSICS
Before the construction of the underground parking floor which is planned to built in the open land in Fatih district in Istanbul, with determination of the location and the conditions of geological layers at the bottom of the ground, underground radar (GPR - Ground Penetrating Radar) measurements for the research of archaeological remains can be found in the environment were carried out.
Determination of soil parameters by GPR in Çankırı Province, Çerkeş Town River-Zonguldak on the line km: 220+400-600 and with determination of the location and the conditions of geological layers at the bottom of the ground, underground radar (GPR - Ground Penetrating Radar) measurements for the research of archaeological remains can be found in the environment were carried out.
Underground radar (GPR - Ground Penetrating Radar) measurements for investigation of reinforcement and problems were carried out in the underground of the stops between Merkez Efendi – Cevizlibağ as improvment works in Zeytinburnu - Kabataş tram lines which is performed by İstanbul Transportation INC.
Investigation of convert structures was performed on the stations on the Kartal – Kadıköy metro lines which is ongoing construction by Eurasia Metro Group by using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).
Ground Penetrating Radar is used for detection of ground reinforecement and possible broken zones that can be encountered on the route on the light rail system that planned to built in Gaziantep.
The potential ground reinforcement were investigated by scanning the geophysical profiles on the main and tram road on “Meclis-i Mebusan Caddesi” in Fındıklı neighborhood in Beyoğlu district, İstanbul city.
Reinforecement determining researchs were carried out for the underpass that will be held under the road which is between İstinye Park Shopping Center and İstanbul Technical University in İstinye- Sarıyer in İstanbul. Ground Penetrating Radar measurements were carried out to determine the place of burial reinforcement underground, the diameter and depth.
The measurements that implemented in the back of the military hospital which is within the boundaries of Beyoğlu municipality is for detection of water pipes which are under the existing road.
