In Turkey, generally only "ground survey" and "ground-water research" is limited to the urban geophysical works , in fact, it is a science that can be solution to a lot of more problems. Many problems which can be solved by geophysics have been unanswered because of lack of experienced and enough engineers, and also planning mistakes encountered in cities. One of the most obvious problem encountered during infrastructure planning and applications performed by local government is not to be known of the infrastructure inventory map of the city. Not to be known exactly where the reinforcement like underground electric, natural gas, telephone, water and sewer lines have been sometimes become a problem that may interfere developments of the applications in cities.
